From July 31 to August 2, 2026, Baoyan Industrial Technology (Nantong) Co., Ltd. A total of the production and administrative departments 63 employees A three-day, two-night team-building and leadership-development program was conducted. Centered around the core themes of “Lean Management, Team Collaboration, and Continuous Improvement,” the program leveraged structured coursework and hands-on exercises to comprehensively enhance team cohesion, communication and collaboration skills, and lean‑thinking approaches to continuous improvement.

📌 Day 1: Team Integration and Infrastructure Building

On the first day of the event, the focus was on the deep integration of individual aspirations with corporate objectives. Through a series of interactive sessions, participating employees explored how to align their personal career development with the company’s strategic direction, fostering a shift in mindset from “me” to “we.”

In addition, the first day also covered several key capacity-building initiatives:

  • Establish standard guidelines : Learn how to develop standardized work procedures, laying the groundwork for subsequent improvement initiatives.
  • Clear division of labor and complete expression : Through role-playing and scenario simulations, enhance understanding of job responsibilities and develop effective communication skills.
  • Developing the ability to construct logical narratives : Train structured thinking and reporting skills to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of information transmission.
  • Integrating resources and establishing communication channels : Break down departmental silos and establish cross-departmental collaboration mechanisms and an information-sharing platform.

 

📌 Day 2: Lean Management Mindset and Improvement Methodology

The next day’s session delved into the core principles of lean management. The instructor began by guiding participants to reflect on… "Why is improvement being promoted?" , elaborating on the necessity and urgency of continuous improvement from multiple perspectives, including market competition, customer needs, and cost control.

The core learning content includes:

  • Lean Management Mindset and Improvement Hierarchy : Understand the underlying principles of lean production and master a tiered approach to driving improvement initiatives.
  • 3M Thinking (Muda, Mura, Muri) Identify waste, imbalance, and overload, and eliminate non-value‑adding work at the source.
  • Steps of Value Flow in a System : Map the end-to-end value chain, from raw materials to finished-product delivery.
  • Voice of the Customer (VOC) and the Value Stream of Things : Oriented toward customer needs, optimize the value-creation process.
  • Improve Cycle (PDCA) : Master the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) closed-loop management methodology to foster intrinsic momentum for continuous improvement.

 

📌 Day 3: Value Stream Mapping and Hands-On Exercises

The third day is a critical phase that integrates theory with practical application. Each group focuses on… Main Process Value Stream Mapping Conduct an in-depth analysis and use visualization tools to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement in the current process.

The core tasks include:

  • Identification of Departmental Processes and Collaborative Relationships : Clearly define each department’s role and collaboration points within the value stream, and eliminate information silos.
  • Identification of Issues and Formulation of Improvement Opportunities : Utilize tools such as fishbone diagrams to accurately identify root causes and develop improvement plans.

Production Department Then specially arranged at Dojo Participants engaged in hands-on simulations, applying the lean principles learned over the previous two days directly to a mock production line. By putting their knowledge into practice on the shop floor, they validated their learning and further strengthened their practical skills in lean improvement.

Through this three-day, two-night program of systematic learning and hands-on practice, the 63 participating employees not only achieved a qualitative leap in their theoretical knowledge but also made significant progress in team collaboration, communication, and lean thinking.
